THE VENUE: Timber Lakes Camp and Retreat Center

1375 Rock Creek Rd, Williamsburg, KS 66095
(1 hour south of Kansas City)

Located on 200+ acres of a gorgeous Kansas Woodland, Timber Lakes Camp and Retreat features two lakes, a pool, bonfire pits, a sand volleyball court, a huge grassy meadow perfect for dancing barefoot under the stars, and numerous hiking trails to explore!

The facilities onsite include a variety of both outdoor and indoor (climate-controlled) spaces such as a large dining hall, auditorium, and comfy lounges, making it the perfect place for Thrive Alive Fest no matter the weather!

Attendees can choose from primitive tent and hammock camping among the trees, RV hookups, rustic (but air-conditioned!) cabins, and fully furnished hotel-style private suites in the on-site lodge for their housing during the festival!

  • This festival is open to everyone! Vegans, vegetarians, plant-curious individuals, families, children & nature lovers are all welcome.

  • No. Thrive Alive Vegan Fest is a sober, substance-free event. Smoking, vaping, alcohol, drugs & plant-medicines are strictly prohibited. Violators will be asked to leave without a refund immediately.

  • Festival Tickets:

    • Festival access ticket sales are final and non-refundable.  

    • Festival tickets however can be transferred to another person up to September 1, 2025. To transfer your ticket, email info@thrivealivefest.com with the new attendee’s name and contact information.

    Accommodation Refunds/Transfers

    • Accommodation reservations can be refunded until August 15, 2025 for a $50 administrative fee, or transferred to another person up to September 1st. Email info@thrivealivefest.com to refund or transfer your accommodations.

  • Thrive Alive is family-friendly & we encourage people of all ages to attend! Children 3 and under are free & all children 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There will also be a kids corner with activities & games made specially for the little ones!

  • Choose from tent/hammock camping, van camping, RV hookups, shared rooms, a single bed in a shared cabin, or your own private cabin or private suite! (See ticket page for details, limited availabilty; first come, first serve). 

  • The festival will proceed rain or shine. Plan accordingly with waterproof gear & layers.

  • Typically the weather in Williamsburg, Kansas at this time of year will range from about 60-80 degrees.

  • Thrive Alive Fest will be held at the Timber Lakes Camp and Retreat in Williamsburg, Kansas (about 45 minutes south of Kansas City). Timber Lakes is 250+ acre retreat center with woods, two lakes, a pool, nature trails, bonfire pits, a camp-style cafeteria/dining hall, indoor auditorium that seats 400 people & numerous camp-style lodging options from tent camping & RV hookups, to cabins with bunk beds & a lodge with several private suites. All housing options & indoor facilities have electricity & are air conditioned - but many of the festival activities will be held outdoors as well.  

  • While we LOVE animals & advocate for their well-being, we kindly ask that all pets be left at home for this event. We believe this helps create a safe & comfortable environment for all guests, as well as for the animals themselves. Thank you for understanding!

  • No cooking equipment or personal fires are allowed in the camping areas or cabins. All meals are provided as part of your ticket price. You are welcome to bring snacks, fruit, or additional pre-made food with you as long as it is 100% plant-based & vegan (nothing containing any meat, dairy, eggs, fish, honey, gelatin or other animal products).

  • We recommend bringing:

    • A reusable water bottle

    • Comfortable clothing & layers for outdoor, athletic & camp-style activities

    • Swimming suit 

    • Beach towel(s) 

    • Rain gear

    • Sun protection

    • Yoga mat 

    • Guitars, drums & other Instruments for jam sessions & drum circles

    • Tent, sleeping bag, air mattress or other camping gear (if applicable)

    • Earplugs & eye mask for sleeping (especially if in a shared cabin)

    • Spending cash for paying vendors & buying merch

    • An open & a kind heart!

  • Vehicles parked in the camping area may not leave & return without approval from festival staff. This policy ensures safety & minimizes disruption in camping areas.

    Vehicles parked in the main parking area may leave & return at will. 

  • You can purchase a replacement wristband for $50 at the check-in desk. Please bring a valid ID to verify your registration.

  • Driving by car

    • The exact festival address is 1375 Rockcreek Rd, Williamsburg, Kansas, 66095 and you can put this into your maps and it will take you directly there

    Flying

    • If you plan to fly to the festival, you’ll want to fly into the Kansas City International Airport (MCI) , which is about 1.5 hours from the actual festival venue. From there stay tuned for info on carpooling and or a shuttle that we are working on.
